W. Ryan Steenburg, PhD, is only the second Senior Pastor of Grace Evangelical Church. Moving from Louisville, Kentucky, Ryan and his family accepted the call to come to Grace in the spring of 2015. Ryan has a heart for the family and desires to see the church set the stage and the standard for each Christian household to embrace and fulfill its role as an embassy of the kingdom of God. Ryan believes that the greatest tool we have to achieve this goal is the Word of God. As individual Christians we should seek counsel and comfort from His Word, and as the church we should receive our instruction from His Word. For this reason, Ryan believes in and practices expository preaching.
Ryan’s greatest joy is his wife and children. Ryan and Kristen were married in 2003 and currently have eight children: Caitlyn Rose, Wesley Ryan, Jr., Anabelle Grace, Mikayla Marie, Joshua David Rushmore, Jordan Rain, Olivia Joy, and Abigail Hope. As a family, the Steenburg’s enjoy reading books together, playing games, and taking advantage of the outdoors. In addition to Ryan’s Black Belt in Judo, he was a wrestler in high school, and lettered in NCAA Track and Field (400m, 4x400m) while at Calvin College.

The Elders represent the congregation under the Lordship of Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They shepherd the Church, guard the purity of doctrine, establish policy consistent with the Constitution and Bylaws, and are responsible for the interpretation of the Constitution and Bylaws. They minister in prayer, teach Scriptures, counsel the needy, comfort the afflicted, visit the sick and disciple believers. The Elders are shepherds in the Body.
